About, how to use & limitations

About SVG to PNG

Convert SVG to PNG online when you need a regular image for apps, documents, social media, or tools that do not accept vector files. This tool renders your SVG in the browser and saves it as a PNG with a transparent background preserved. Small SVGs are scaled up so the longest side is at least 1024 pixels, giving a sharp result instead of a tiny thumbnail, while larger SVGs keep their own dimensions. You can convert up to 20 SVG files at once, check the output size of each, and download every PNG separately or all together as a ZIP.

How to use

  1. Click the "Drop SVG files here" area or drag SVG files onto it. Files you add later join the list, up to 20.
  2. Wait for "Converting X / Y..." to finish, then check each file's original size, new size, and percentage change.
  3. Click Download next to each converted PNG file to save it, or click Download all to get every file in one ZIP.
  4. Click ✕ on a row to remove that file, or CLEAR to empty the list.

Limitations & notes

  • New files are added to the list rather than replacing it; the list holds up to 20 files and any extras are skipped.
  • SVGs smaller than 1024 px on their longest side are scaled up to 1024 px; larger SVGs keep their own size.
  • External fonts, linked images and scripts inside the SVG may not render, so the PNG can differ from the original.
  • Files that are not SVG, whether picked or dropped, are skipped and named in a notice.

FAQ

What size will the PNG be?
The PNG uses the width and height set in the SVG. If the longest side is under 1024 pixels, or the SVG has no size set, it is scaled up so the longest side is 1024 pixels.
Is the transparent background kept?
Yes. PNG supports transparency, so areas with no fill in the SVG stay transparent.
Why are fonts or linked images missing from my PNG?
The SVG is rendered as a standalone image, so browsers do not load external files it references, such as web fonts or linked images. Embed them in the SVG or convert text to outlines first.
Can I convert several files at once?
Yes. Drop or select several files; files you add later join the list instead of replacing it, up to 20 in total. Each one gets its own Download button and a ✕ to remove it, and Download all saves them together as one ZIP. Files beyond 20 are skipped and a notice says how many.
Is my SVG uploaded to a server?
No. The SVG is rendered and converted in your browser, and the PNG is created on your device. Nothing is sent to a server.
