About US Timezone Planner

US Timezone Planner converts one time into every US time zone at once: Eastern, Central, Mountain, Arizona, Pacific, Alaska, and Hawaii, plus UTC. Pick a base zone, date, and time to see each local time, its abbreviation such as EST or PDT, and whether that place is in work hours, off hours, a weekend, or asleep. Daylight saving time is applied for the chosen date, Arizona and Hawaii stay on standard time, DST switches in the next two weeks are flagged, and times that land on another day are marked. Copy the result as a list or a single line for meeting invites.

How to use

  1. Choose your Base Timezone from the dropdown.
  2. Set the Date and Time of the meeting in that base timezone; the list stays empty with a reminder until a time is entered.
  3. Read the converted time for each US zone and UTC, with labels like Work hours, Off hours, or Asleep.
  4. Watch for notices about daylight saving changes or times that do not exist on that date.
  5. Click Copy List or Copy Inline to share the schedule.

Limitations & notes

  • Only seven US time zones and UTC are covered; other countries and US territories outside these zones are not available.
  • Availability labels use fixed rules (work 8 AM to 6 PM on weekdays, asleep 10 PM to 6 AM) and ignore holidays and personal schedules.
  • The daylight saving notice only looks 14 days ahead of the selected date.

FAQ

How many time zones does the US have?
The 50 states span six standard time zones: Eastern, Central, Mountain, Pacific, Alaska, and Hawaii-Aleutian. This planner lists Arizona separately because most of the state stays on Mountain Standard Time all year, and adds UTC as a reference.
Does Arizona observe daylight saving time?
Most of Arizona does not, so it stays on MST (UTC-7) all year, matching Pacific time in summer and Mountain time in winter. The Navajo Nation in Arizona does observe DST. Hawaii also stays on standard time year-round.
When does daylight saving time start and end in the US?
DST starts at 2:00 AM local time on the second Sunday in March and ends at 2:00 AM on the first Sunday in November. The planner uses the correct offset for the date you pick and shows a notice if a switch falls within the following two weeks.
How do I convert Eastern time to Pacific time?
Pacific time is 3 hours behind Eastern time, so 12:00 PM ET is 9:00 AM PT. Set Eastern as the base zone and enter a time to see Pacific and every other US zone together.
What counts as work hours in the planner?
Weekdays from 8 AM to 6 PM are marked as work hours, 6 to 8 AM and 6 to 10 PM as off hours, and 10 PM to 6 AM as asleep. Saturdays and Sundays between 6 AM and 10 PM are marked as weekend.
