About Decision Oracle

Decision Oracle is a random decision maker for when you truly cannot pick. In Quick Fate mode, type an optional yes-or-no question and hit Decide for Me; the oracle shuffles through its answers and lands on a verdict like YES, NO, LOL NO, or FLIP A COIN INSTEAD, with your last five questions listed as recent verdicts and a copy button for sharing. Gut Check mode is sneakier: it reveals a decision, asks whether you feel relieved or disappointed, and then sides with whatever your reaction says you actually want. Good for lunch spots, small dilemmas, and settling arguments.

How to use

  1. Choose a mode: Quick Fate for an instant answer, or Gut Check to test your feelings.
  2. In Quick Fate, optionally type your question, then press DECIDE FOR ME (or Enter; Shift+Enter adds a new line) and let the oracle consult the cosmos.
  3. Press COPY to share the verdict; editing the question clears the old answer, and earlier answers stack up under RECENT VERDICTS.
  4. In Gut Check, write your dilemma and press READ MY GUT (or Enter) to reveal a decision.
  5. React with RELIEVED or DISAPPOINTED to get your final verdict, press COPY to share it, then press TRY ANOTHER for a new dilemma.

Limitations & notes

  • Answers are picked at random from fixed lists; the oracle does not read or analyze your question.
  • In Gut Check, if your reaction does not match the revealed answer, the final verdict flips to the opposite.
  • Quick Fate keeps only the last 5 verdicts with a typed question, in page memory; switching modes or reloading clears them.
  • This is for entertainment only and is not advice for health, money, legal, or other serious decisions.

FAQ

Is the oracle actually random?
Yes, completely. Each verdict is drawn at random from a fixed list of yes, no, and maybe-style answers, and the wording of your question has no effect, so asking twice can get you a different answer.
How does Gut Check work?
Write your dilemma, let the oracle reveal a verdict such as DO IT or SKIP IT, then tap Relieved or Disappointed. If your feeling agrees with the verdict, it stands; if not, the final answer flips, because your reaction was the real answer all along.
What kind of questions can I ask?
Anything you can answer with yes or no, since every verdict is a yes, a no, or a shrug. To choose between two options, ask about one of them, like "Should I get pizza?"
Should I trust it with big life decisions?
The oracle is for fun and low-stakes choices. For anything serious, use it the way Gut Check intends: notice how you feel about the answer, then make the call yourself.
Is my question saved anywhere?
No. Your question and recent verdicts live only in the open page and are not sent to any server; reloading the page wipes them.
