About Mock Data Generator

Mock Data Generator creates fake test data for development, prototyping and demos. Pick a data type (users, US addresses, products, orders or companies), choose which fields to include, and generate up to 100 records at a time. Output can be JSON, CSV, or a SQL INSERT statement ready to paste into your database, and you can copy it or download it as a file. Developers use it to seed databases, fill UI mockups and write tests without touching real customer data. Every record is randomly generated in your browser from built-in sample lists, with UUIDs for IDs.

How to use

  1. Choose a data type: Users, Addresses, Products, Orders or Companies.
  2. Under Schema Fields, click field chips to include or exclude them; at least one field stays selected.
  3. Pick an output format, JSON, CSV or SQL, and enter how many records to create in the Count box, up to 100.
  4. Click Generate Mock Data, or press Enter in the Count box, to build the records and preview them along with record, field and size badges.
  5. Click Copy to copy the output, or Download to save it as a file in the chosen format.

Limitations & notes

  • Up to 100 records per run; an empty or zero count falls back to 5.
  • Values are picked with Math.random from small built-in lists, so repeated names, products and company names are common.
  • Addresses use 15 large US cities; each record's state and ZIP code match its city, but the street name and number are random and may not exist.
  • Order customerId and productId values are random UUIDs that do not link to generated users or products.
  • Changing the data type or toggling a field clears the result; changing the output format reformats the same records.

FAQ

Is the generated data real?
No. Names, emails, addresses and companies are randomly combined from built-in sample lists, so they do not belong to real people or businesses. Emails can still use real domains like gmail.com, so do not send mail to them.
What does the SQL output look like?
It is a single multi-row INSERT INTO statement for a table named after the data type (for example users), with strings quoted and booleans written as TRUE or FALSE. Create the table with matching columns first.
Can I choose which fields to include?
Yes. Click the field badges to include or exclude them; at least one field must stay selected. Excluded fields are left out of the JSON, CSV and SQL output.
How many records can I generate?
Up to 100 records per generation. Click Generate again for a fresh set.
