About Case Converter

Case Converter changes the capitalization and word separators of text in one click. Paste text and convert it to UPPER CASE, lower case, Title Case, Sentence case, camelCase, PascalCase, snake_case, SCREAMING_SNAKE_CASE, kebab-case, or dot.case. Words are split on spaces, hyphens, underscores, dots, and existing camelCase boundaries, so you can turn a variable name like userProfileId into user_profile_id or a heading into a URL-style slug. Character, word, and line counts update as you edit, and a copy button grabs the result. Accented letters, non-Latin scripts, and emoji are kept as typed.

How to use

  1. Type or paste your text into the editor box.
  2. Click a style under CONVERT TO, such as Title Case, camelCase, snake_case, or kebab-case, to rewrite the text in place.
  3. Check the chars, words, and lines counters above the editor; a badge confirms which case was applied.
  4. Click Copy to grab the converted text, or CLEAR to start over.

Limitations & notes

  • Each conversion replaces the text in the editor, and the original text is not kept, so copy it first if you need it.
  • Sentence case capitalizes the first letter of each sentence (after a period, question mark, or exclamation mark followed by a space or line break) and a standalone i, and lowercases everything else, including names and acronyms.
  • Title, camel, Pascal, snake, kebab, and dot case split words on spaces, hyphens, underscores, and dots, so line breaks and those separators are not preserved.
  • Letter case only changes for scripts that have upper and lower case, such as Latin, Greek, and Cyrillic; Korean, Chinese, Japanese, and emoji pass through unchanged.

FAQ

What is the difference between camelCase and PascalCase?
Both join words without spaces and capitalize each word. camelCase keeps the first letter lowercase (helloWorld), while PascalCase capitalizes it too (HelloWorld), a style common for class and component names.
When should I use snake_case or kebab-case?
snake_case joins lowercase words with underscores and is common for Python variables and database columns. kebab-case uses hyphens and is typical for URLs, CSS class names, and file names.
How do I convert camelCase to snake_case?
Paste the camelCase text and click snake_case. The converter splits words where a lowercase letter meets an uppercase one and joins them with underscores, so getUserName becomes get_user_name.
What does Sentence case do?
It lowercases the text, then capitalizes the first letter of each sentence and the word I. Proper nouns and acronyms still need to be capitalized by hand.
