About the units
- Celsius
- The Celsius scale puts the freezing point of water at 0 °C and its boiling point at 100 °C at standard pressure. A change of 1 °C equals a change of 1 K.
- Kelvin
- The kelvin is the SI base unit of temperature. Its scale starts at absolute zero (0 K = −273.15 °C), so it has no negative values.
